More digital solutions ahead!

Transcontinental Media’s Digital Solutions team expands its expertise. Here is exciting news about a  departement in full bloom!

Since the arrival of John Clinton, Senior VP of the Group, the Sales, Marketing and Strategy teams are at the peak of their development!
Here are the headliners who’ll answer the growing demands of today’s digital solutions market.

Sales

“The sale of digital solutions has evolved,” says Ken McMillan, National Sales Director of Digital Media. ”Traditional ad units are now just one small part of the tool-kit. ”
Thanks to its creative media approach, the sales team (both in Toronto and Montreal) has in just three years gone from simply selling advertising space to providing turnkey project management and fully brand-integrated campaigns.

Ken supervises 10 National Account Managers in Toronto: Andrew Bester; Charlene Colwill; Jilian Dunn; Virginia Mills; Meera Shah; Paul Maclaren; Rose Anne Bonanno, who is currently on maternity leave and is being replaced by Krista Cain; Dominik Majka, Digital Optimization Manager in charge of business intelligence; and Audrey Oei and Sarah Cotton who have both recently joined the team as account managers.

In addition, two Account Managers will soon be hired  along with a professional who’ll help the team to create solutions for best marketing practices.

In total, the Toronto sales team boasts 12 employees, all specialists in their field, and is about to hire three more.

”Being the front-line of the company,” adds Ken, ”we continuously step-up our knowledge, our customer service, and our strategic counsel to deliver the latest and most effective digital programs. It’s the only fair way to maintain a partnership with our clients.”

Marketing

“Our number one goal is to cultivate a culture of client service while continuing to innovate,” says Guillaume Brunet, who is amongst the Top 40 digital marketing specialists in Canada.
Guillaume was recently promoted to Director of Marketing and Client Service.  In addition to his former responsibilities, he is now in charge of the client service unit and is responsible for insuring the complete satisfaction of his internal and external clients.
Guillaume’s promotion has definitely had a lot to do with the rapid growth of the marketing team.
When he took over as Director of Marketing, Guillaume brilliantly sowed the seeds for a vibrant marketing culture. Today, three new units have been created:

  • Search engine and traffic optimization: Led by senior Marketing analyst Patrick Ouellette and including Marketing Analyst Nicola Navratil, and Marketing and SEO Webmaster Marie-Lynn Richard.
  • Client service: The department consists of Victor Duro, Account Manager for Trade Publications, and François le Boulaire (formerly of Reitmans), Local Solutions Account Manager.
  • Marketing project management: The department boasts three Marketing Project Managers: Geneviève Lamy, who was recently promoted to Marketing Project Team Leader, Catherine Barry (Toronto) and Véronique St-Onge, who is currently on maternity leave and is being replaced by Geneviève Carrier (formerly with Transcontinental’s trade publications). Other important members of the department include Annie Curran, who has been Marketing Coordinator since February 2009 and Kahina Mostefai, who, as the new Web Editor, manages Web content at The-Compass.ca.

Strategy

The strategy team is dedicated to creating, developing and launching new business lines that will raise Transcontinental Media’s value in the future while supporting its present brand objectives.
Patrick Gagné (formerly of Komunik) has been Senior Director of Strategy since February 2009. He literally founded this department, which was previously called ”Business Development”.  Currently, the department includes four development units: consumer databases, mobility, marketing relations and social media.

The strategy team would also like to welcome Tom Emrich, who was recently hired as Mobile Product Manager (Toronto).

More professionals will be joining the team very soon, so welcome to our new recruits! We wish you success in your new positions.

Growth like this guarantees that you will continue to hear good news from Transcontinental Media’s digital solutions group, so stay tuned
